The Colorado Capitol

For the first time in about 15 years, I went inside the Colorado Capitol building. The gold dome has gleamed over Denver for a hundred and ten years and it was just refurbished so it looks great. While I did walk all over the place I had one actual thing on my agenda; to get to the top of the dome.

Denver Burger Battle

A dozen local restaurants all produce their best custom burgers for attendees to taste and judge. Oh yes, I judged them all and I was in burger heaven all the while wine and ice cream were also served so it was a trifecta of heaven for me.

A fun night in Alaska

I know I complained a lot about my time at Westward Seafoods in Alaska, but I did have some fun times times too. This was one of those nights when I happened to have my camera. Some coworkers and I hung out in the bunkhouse and talked about lots of things. This was one of my last nights in Alaska although I didn't know that at the time.

The new Union Station

After saying goodbye to Market Street Station two months ago I made a specific trip to Union Station, the new hub for rail and bus for Downtown Denver. My original plan was to photograph the underground portion of the station but once I saw the crowd waiting for an Amtrak train I decided to hang out on the platform instead.
